Facility renovations expected for D99 schools

This story was my first big encounter with censorship before the passage of the New Voices law in Illinois. As a sophomore, I learned student journalism laws quickly in order to publish the best version of this story. While no one expected this story to be controversial, it quickly became the catalyst for my scholastic journalism experience. 

Religious policy changes raise questions

While I originally planned to write a brief on how clubs receive funding, interviews and research led me to a story about discrepancies in privileges for religious clubs. The story shed light on the differences in stipends and promotions between Christian and Muslim clubs. 

Allegations leave students with questions

The opinion editor came to me with inside information saying she believed a teacher would soon be accused of sexual allegations. This story answered common questions students had as well as students' thoughts before the name was released to the public.
